Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power supply system that improves power factor by widening a continuity angle of an input current by a simple control, as well as, develops a large output. SOLUTION: A power supply system includes a reactor 2 connected to rectifier circuits 3a to 3d; a first and a second switching devices 8, 9 for connecting, breaking current routes; a capacitor 5 for improving power factor connected between AC input and DC output terminals of a rectifier circuit; a capacitor 6 for improving phase connected between AC input terminals of the rectifier circuit; a smoothing capacitor 4 for smoothing an output voltage of the rectifier circuit; an AC voltage detecting means 32 for detecting the voltage values of an AC power source 1; an AC voltage amplitude detecting means 33 for detecting either one among the effective value, mean value, peak value, and a switch control means 30 for controlling the first and the second switching means. The switch control means 30 receives voltage values detected by the AC voltage detecting means 32 and the magnitudes of voltages by the AC voltage amplitude detecting means 33, and outputs a pulse signal that turns on at least either of the first switching device 8 or the second switching device 9.
