Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image pickup device capable of picking up an image of a subject while moving and giving a function as, for example, a drive recorder without upsizing a camera itself. SOLUTION: In a normal photography mode, a still picture can be photographed by operating a shutter button 8A and thereby, the still picture to which a camera-shake correction processing is performed by displacement quantity data from a sensor 4 when a camera-shake or the like occurs is obtained. On the other hand, when the camera is used as the drive recorder, a shock is detected according to a displacement quantity from the sensor 4 while photographing a moving picture, and processing as the drive recorder can be performed.
