Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inorganic electroluminescent element with a low driving voltage, as well as a high luminance and a high luminous efficiency. SOLUTION: The electroluminescent element is equipped with a first electrode and a second electrode arranged to face each other at a regular interval, an inorganic light-emitting layer formed between the first electrode and the second electrode, a dielectric layer formed on an inside face of the second electrode, and a field emission layer consisting of a nano-rod and formed at least on one surface of the inorganic light-emitting layer.
