Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display panel which is improved in yield by remedying a bright spot defect due to incorporation of foreign matter in a manufacturing step. SOLUTION: A light shield film 40 is disposed at the position of a first glass plate 21 corresponding to a color filter 6 of a pixel where a bright spot defect occurs on a TFT substrate due to incorporation of foreign matter 31, and the light shield film 40 shields backing light 51 with which the pixel at the bright spot defect position is irradiated. A plurality of recess processed parts 8 are processed at the position of the bright spot defect occurs on a second glass plate 11 constituting a CF substrate. Each recess processed part 8 converges backlight light 52, lighting pixels operating normally in the circumference of the pixel where the bright spot defect occurs, on the side of the bright spot defective pixel to artificially generate an illumination state.
