Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a garbage treatment machine in which the temperature of the water to be treated in a treatment tank is kept constant within such an optimum temperature range that a microbe exhibits high activity. SOLUTION: A temperature sensor 326 is arranged for measuring the outdoor air temperature outside a treatment tank 301. An operating time of submerged pump 308 for agitating the water 302, which is thrown in the treatment tank 301 and is to be treated, is controlled according to the outdoor air temperature measured by the temperature sensor 326. The operating time of the submerged pump 308 is controlled according to the outdoor air temperature measured by the temperature sensor 326, for example, when the outdoor air temperature is low, the operating time of the pump is made longer and when the outdoor air temperature is high, the operating time thereof is made shorter.
