Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an impact type crusher which can control adhesion of particulates, etc. to any part of the outer peripheral surface and clearances of the rotor shaft because of its construction allowing an air flow to reach the outer peripheral surface of the rotor shaft, i.e. the deepest part of clearance between the end surface of the rotor and side wall of the casing. SOLUTION: A through hole 40 for the shaft is formed in the side wall 12 of the casing opposing the end surface 20 of the rotor, and the rotor shaft 21 is inserted through the through hole and held. A void S1 is formed between the inner periphery of the through hole and the outer periphery of the rotor shaft by making the inside diameter of the through hole larger than the outside diameter of the rotor shaft. Air is sucked externally into the clearance through the void as the inside of the casing becomes negative-pressure owing to high-speed rotation of the rotor, and the sucked air is made to flow toward the outer periphery of the rotor.
