PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a separator for a fuel cell of which manufacturing is easy, and in which sealing properties stabilized for a long period can be exhibited by always keeping constant the seal-face pressure generated in seal elements. SOLUTION: This is one of numerous separators for the fuel cell which are arranged in a laminated shape. The seal elements are formed in both recessed parts of a portion where convex parts of metal plates are overlapped with each other, the inside dead space and the outside dead space are formed by both recessed parts of mutual two sheets of metal plates existing on both sides of the seal elements, and the sealing member made of an elastic material is filled into at least one of the both dead spaces to form a closed region.
