Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a crimped yarn for a dust-controlling mat, having improved pencil point properties while using stainproof properties peculiar to a polytrimethylene terephthalate, and having excellent retentivity of beautiful surface appearance of a carpet after long-term use, and to provide the dust-controlling mat including the crimped yarn. SOLUTION: The method for producing the crimped yarn for the dust-controlling mat comprises imparting organzine of 150-220 T/m to crimped yarns of spun-dyed multifilaments using the polytrimethylene terephthalate as a raw material, and subjecting the resultant yarn to heat set by 100-130°C steam.
