Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a caster brake mechanism which can slow down the speed of a patient support device such as a stretcher while keeping the rotation of caster wheels from being stopped completely. SOLUTION: The patient support device 20 has frames 22 and 26, a plurality of casters 24 linked to the frame 22 and a push handle 68 which is linked to the frame 26 and holdable for operating the patient support device along a floor 50.
