Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telephone terminal capable of acknowledging the arrival of a new call during a speech that recognizes an ID from a caller at the arrival of the call, classifies the ID, and can attain an arrived call notice depending on each classification pattern. SOLUTION: The telephone terminal outputs a voice signal from a speaker not during a speech in the case of the arrival of an "emergency class" call (S15). The line is automatically in holding, the arrival of the emergency call is noticed to a speech opposite party in terms of a voice signal, the telephone terminal outputs the voice signal corresponding to the received ID, and thereafter the telephone terminal automatically replies the arrived call during a speech (S14). In the case of the arrival of a "private class" call, the telephone terminal transmits a ringer signal other than a voice before the telephone terminal responds thereto (S19), a handset outputs a corresponding voice signal after off-hook so that the telephone terminal can reply the arrived call (S21). In the case of the arrival of an "ordinary class" call, the telephone terminal informs of a corresponding voice signal. In the case of the arrival of calls of "other classes", the telephone terminal converts all or parts of the ID into voice as they are and notifies them to the telephone terminal.
