Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing nickel fine particles whose shrinkage starting temperature is increased by allowing its sintering behavior in high temperature firing to approach that of a ceramic dielectric. SOLUTION: The method for producing nickel fine particles is characterized in that nickel fine particles are subjected to wet treatment with a solution of a sulfur compound, and a sulfur content in the range of 0.05 to 1.0 wt.% is incorporated into the nickel fine particles.
