Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a grating which is energized in the opening direction by the installation of a coil spring so that the grating can be easily opened by reducing a force required when the grating is opened, has a large rotation angle at the time of its opening by providing a pivot of the grating at the top of the side of the grating so that it can be widely opened, does not cause damage by being contact with a vehicle traveling on the grating by providing the coil spring under the grating, and makes possible the use of a large-sized coil spring. SOLUTION: The coil spring 7 is wound around an attachment shaft 6 which is provided in parallel with the pivot 5 under the grating 3. While one side of the coil spring 7 is engaged by a pin-shaped spring stopper 9 which is projected by a bulk-increasing member 6, the other side of the coil spring is engaged with the grating 3 by being pushed from below.
