Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To install underfloor equipment advantageous for low center of gravity at high freedom of installation without increasing a projection area viewed in a traveling direction of a vehicle. SOLUTION: A base frame 3 for supporting or forming a floor 2 of the railway vehicle 1 is bulged on a floor surface and a recessed part 5 opened to the underfloor and a side of the vehicle 1 is formed on a back side. The underfloor equipment 4 is stored in the recessed part 5 so as not to be projected to the underfloor and the side of the vehicle 1 to be supported on the base frame 3, thereby, the above objective is achieved.
