Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an apparatus and a method for injection molding which enable injection of a hardly flowable material into a mold to mold into a thin plate without unfilled parts left. SOLUTION: (1) The injection molding apparatus is used to carry out injection press molding of a hardly flowable material A in a mold 10, and its operation comprises estimating the collision rebound scattering distance for injection of the hardly flowable material A at a certain time during injection, determining the injection rate corresponding to the estimated collision rebound scattering distance in the relationship of the collision rebound scattering distance L with the injection rate IV and injecting the hardly flowable material A at the determined injection rate. (2) The injection molding method comprises converting a collision rebound scattering distance L of the hardly flowable material A to an injection rate IV for injection into a cavity 13, injecting the hardly flowable material A into the cavity 13 at the first clamping position 12b to fill the cavity 13 with the hardly flowable material A, according to the injection rate pattern set so that the cavity 13 is filled with the hardly flowable material A in order from the outer periphery to the inside, and carrying to the final clamping position 12c at any timing before or after completion of the filling.
