Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide inkjet recording paper which is improved in curling in an environment of high temperature and high humidity or low temperature and low humidity, causes little cockling (undulation of original paper) after printing and excels in gloss and image quality. SOLUTION: In a manufacturing method of the inkjet recording paper which has an ink accepting layer finished by a casting method on one side of a paper base or has the ink accepting layer and a gloss revealing layer finished by the casting method on one side of the paper base, a peak in a pore diameter distribution curve of the ink accepting layer is only 0.06 μm or less substantially and besides a backing layer constituted mainly of a water-soluble resin is formed on the other side of the paper base before finishing by the casting method, so that the air permeability (JIS-P-8117) be 500-3,000 seconds.
