Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medically useful capsule containing no including gelatin. SOLUTION: Starch-containing matter is processed into homogenized material in a first processor, and then into thermoplastic material in a second processor to be an extrusion-molded film at the outlet of the second processor. Then, in an intermittent molding method, it is formed into be the capsule. Obtained material has at least 40ml/g in the Staudinger index, so that at least 100% rupture point distortion of extruded material is assured at encapsulation temperature. In particular, a soft capsule including a singular constitution capsule cover can be produced of this material in a rotary die method. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
