Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To charge a built-in battery and to supply a current to a circuit more efficiently according to the specification of an external power source. SOLUTION: The external power source 1 notifies a class-notification signal TS that shows its own class. A control device 3 discriminates the class of the external power source 1 from the class-notification signal TS outputted from the external power source 1. The control device 3 refers to a current-destination table to obtain destinations of a current from class data of the external power source and to determine the changeover position of a current changeover switch 2. When the current destination is only the battery, the current changeover switch 2 is changed over to an 'a' side to drive a terminal with the power of the built-in battery 5 while charging the built-in battery 5. When the current destinations are the battery and a main unit, the current changeover switch 2 is changed over to a 'b' side to charge the built-in battery 5 and to drive the terminal with the power of the external power source 1.
