Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To eliminate the trouble to disassemble a piano and change buff for piano buffing operation, the burden on the body of a worker, uneven finish, etc. SOLUTION: A device on which the piano is placed to be lifted is provided in the entrance center of the buffing device. On both the sides of it, devices are provided which use flexible soft-touch hands for measuring the width of the piano to read the width of the piano. The piano is elevated by a carriage up to a predetermined height, tilted, and carried in the device by a piano moving carriage. A buff moving device moves the buff by a buff positioning mechanism and one of a plurality of kinds of buff is selected according to dirt. While the pressing force of the buff is controlled according to states of raw materials, buffing is carried out through a straight or zigzag travel etc. Settings of the above operations can be changed optionally at each time through a touch panel or with operation switches etc. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
