Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compound graphite useful as an anode for a secondary cell whose charge/discharge characteristic little decreases even if the graphite is densely filled to provide a high cell capacity; and to provide an anode paste, an anode and a lithum secondary cell using the same. SOLUTION: A phenol resin precursor ethanol solution is dropped on a core material having a d-value of 0.3359 nm and composed of a natural graphite, and kneaded. Thereafter, the precursor is polymerized at 200°C to cover the surface of the core material with the phenol resin. Then, the core material is heated under an argon atmosphere at 3,000°C to graphitize the phenol resin. Lastly, the core material is crushed by a jet mill to obtain the compound graphite. The compound graphite is kneaded with a binder and a solvent to obtain the anode paste. The paste is applied on a current collector to obtain the anode. Then, the lithium secondary cell is obtained by using the anode. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
