Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a simple and inexpensively structured inlet door of a heat treating chamber for vacuum carburization which only requires a door elevating/lowering drive means as a door drive means and does not require any other drive means. SOLUTION: The inlet door has an intermediate plate 12 having seal members 9, 9 arranged on both sides for closing an opening portion 6 on the front face of a cooling chamber 2, the heat treating chamber, in which a work piece 5 goes in, and two doors which are an outside inlet door 1a and an inside inlet door 1b sandwiching the intermediate plate 12 and arranged to contact both sides of the seal members 9, 9. The outside inlet door 1a and the inside inlet door 1b are guided by linear bearings 14, 14 and can be elevated and lowered by a cylinder 15 via triangular levers 16, 16. The intermediate plate 12 has a communication hole 23, and when the outside inlet door 1a and the inside inlet door 1b are lowered and in a state of blocking an intermediate plate inner peripheral space 24, the inside of the intermediate plate inner peripheral space 24 is exhausted via the communication hole 23 of the intermediate plate 12, and the outside inlet door 1a and the inside entrance door 1b are pressed against the intermediate plate 12 by atmospheric pressure on the outside of the cooling chamber and inner pressure inside the intermediate plate inner peripheral space 24.
