Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a golf club shaft stabilizing behavior of a head during a swing despite of the lightweight, facilitating the swing and providing a favorable directivity of a shot. SOLUTION: This golf club shaft has a weight of 35-50 g, the gravity center point of the shaft is positioned within a range from the tip of the shaft to a distance of 46.0-49.0% of the whole length of the shaft and a torque in the tip side of the shaft is 3.0-4.5°. The shaft includes a straight layer and a bias layer and uses carbon fibers having the elasticity coefficient of 40 t/mm2or more for the bias layer and the number of superposed prepreg sheets 12 and 16 of the bias layer are defined as within a range of not less than 1:3 and less than 2:3 in the ratio of the proximal side and the tip side of the shaft.
