PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pixel clock generation device capable of highly accurately correcting an error of a scanning speed due to various causes. SOLUTION: This pixel clock generation device comprises a high frequency clock generation means 110 for generating a high frequency clock, edge detection means 120, 130 for detecting edges of input first and second synchronous signals by removing noise included therein, a comparison means 150 for detecting an interval between the first and second synchronous signals to compare the detected value with a target value and to output the error therebetween, a frequency computing means 170 for computing a setting value of a pixel clock frequency based on the error output from the comparison means to output a frequency designation signal designating the pixel clock frequency based on the computed setting value, and a dividing means 140 for generating the pixel clock by dividing the high frequency clock according to the frequency designation signal output from the frequency computing means.
