Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that a conventional embroidery sewing machine cannot start the embroidery from an intermitted position at a restart because of the machine's reset and therefore cannot intermit the work through the power source-off when a power source is made off to intermit work during embroidering. SOLUTION: The embroidery sewing machine driven by supply of electric power from the electric source is provided with a means for storing at least an embroidery seam position and a sewing machine state immediately before the intermittence of the power supply and for retaining the position and the state even after the intermittence of the power supply and a means for reading the seam position and the state of the sewing machine retained in the means for retaining and for returning the machine to the retained state at the restart of the power source-on.
