Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a transfer material useful for preparing a liquid crystal display device excellent in a color viewing angle characteristic, to provide a simple manufacturing method of substrate for liquid crystal cell which contributes improvement of the color viewing angle characteristic of a liquid crystal display device, to provide a color filter prepared by using the transfer material, and to provide a liquid crystal display device comprising the color filter. SOLUTION: The transfer material has at least one uniaxial or biaxial optical anisotropic layer and at least one photosensitive resin layer on at least one support. The manufacturing method of substrate for liquid crystal cell comprises at least the following processes [1] to [3] in the order: [1] laminating the transfer material on a substrate; [2] stripping the support from the transfer material on the substrate; and [3] exposing the photosensitive resin layer on the substrate.
