Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fiber Bragg grating adaptor that can suppress influences of high-order modes than a conventional fiber Bragg grating adaptor and can improve wavelength dependence characteristics of a cut-off amount. SOLUTION: The fiber Bragg grating adaptor comprises: an optical waveguide having a core 1a and clad 1b; a fiber Bragg grating 1c that is disposed at least in the core 1a and performs filtering to cut-off light signals entering the optical waveguide in a predetermined wavelength band; a ferrule 3 holding the optical waveguide therein; a high-order mode suppressing substance 2 that is disposed in a region outside the clad 1b and surrounding at least the fiber Bragg grating 1c, occupying a region between the optical waveguide and the ferrule 3, and has a refractive index higher than the refractive index of the clad 1b and suppresses generation of high-order modes in the optical waveguide; a split sleeve 4; a housing 5 that stores the ferrule 3, a connecting nut 6; and a push spring 7.
