Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a cleaning blade provided for a transfer roller from being turned up, while restraining wasteful toner consumption. SOLUTION: By directly transferring a toner image formed on a non-image part to the transfer roller and supplying toner periodically, the cleaning blade is prevented from being turned up. By controlling the supply of toner based on printing information on the non-image part considering the supply of toner in frameless printing and the supply of toner by a control patch, the wasteful toner consumption is restrained.
