Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a compact optical disk device which is small in the occupancy area of an optical disk cartridge in a compact disk drive, and allows a user to easily understand a disk insertion direction into a drive device. SOLUTION: An optical disk cartridge case is roughly formed into a D shape, a roughly fan-shaped opening window is disposed in its semicircular part, and the device is provided with a shutter rotated around a disk as a rotary axis to open/close the opening window.
