PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a telescopic steering device with high vibration rigidity and good steering feeling. SOLUTION: In a lower steering shaft 32, both left and right ends are turnably pivotally supported on both left and right ends of a lower column 1 by a lower bearing 42 and an intermediate bearing 43. Therefore, since the vibration rigidity of the upper steering shaft 31 and the lower steering shaft 32 becomes high and bending becomes small, the steering feeling is enhanced. Further, since a radial clearance is formed between an outer periphery of an outer ring 431 of the intermediate bearing 43 and a vehicle body front side inner periphery 133 of a vehicle body rear side lower column 13 internally fitted with the outer periphery, a core deviation between the lower steering shaft 32 and the upper steering shaft 31 is absorbed and pivotally supported. Therefore, since bending of the steering shaft becomes small, the steering feeling is further enhanced and installtion is facilitated. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
