Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric booster capable of supplying working fluid to a load from a master cylinder in accordance with necessary condition of the load. SOLUTION: A speed reducing mechanism 9A to increase a speed reducing ratio when load torque to be transmitted to a booster piston 8 from an output piston 6 is lower than standard torque (1.0) and to decrease the speed reducing ratio when it is higher is provided between a motor and the booster piston 8. It is possible to speedily supply brake fluid to the master cylinder 4 at an initial pressing stage of a piston 5 and to adjust moving speed and a pressing degree of the piston 5 of the master cylinder 4 in accordance with the load torque as large torque is applied on the piston 5 at a later pressing stage. Consequently, it is possible to perform supply of the brake fluid (working fluid) to the load (wheel cylinder) from the master cylinder 4 in accordance with the necessary state of the load.
