PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a die mold capable of forming a film having remarkably high thickness accuracy through an extrusion molding method excellent in productivity, and a method for producing a thermoplastic resin film having remarkably high thickness accuracy. SOLUTION: The die mold 1 is provided with a lip edge 1c composed of a plane part 3. The lip edge 1c has a longitudinal direction and a width direction, and the die mold has round edge parts 4, 5 extending to the longitudinal direction of the lip edge 1c on both side edges of the lip edge 1c. When it is observed from the direction of the approximately orthogonal to the lip edge 1c, the average value of the bright line width A which is the dimension in the width direction of the lip edge 1c in the longitudinal direction of the lip edge 1c is 5 to 50 μm, the maximum value of the bright line width difference is 2 μm/5 mm or less, and the average value of the edge part width which is the dimension of edge parts 4, 5 along the width direction of the lip edge 1c in the longitudinal direction of the lip edge 1c is 2 μm or less.
