Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a system for controlling the distribution and use of digital work. SOLUTION: A rendering right with watermark information representing information for confirming a rendering result described therein is allocated to a digital work and stored in a distribution repository; an encryption version of the digital work is stored in a user repository from the distribution repository; when rendering of the digital work is requested, the user repository determines whether the digital work has an appropriate rendering right; when it does, the user repository communicates with a rendering repository to establish a trust session and transfers it to the digital work. The rendering repository collects watermark information with the rendering right described therein, encodes data for watermark, decrypts the code of the digital work to embed watermark information and transmits it to a rendering device to render it.
