Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a genome-wide DNA marker by specifying microsatellite polymorphism existing in a genomic DNA of yeast Saccharomyces cerevisiae, and to provide a PCR primer set for detecting the DNA marker. SOLUTION: This genome-wide DNA marker is recognizable based on a difference in length of a fragment of a PCR amplification product, wherein the DNA marker is developed so that a site at which the microsatellite polymorphism having a different number of cycles exists is specified in a genome-wide manner, by conducting shotgun sequence of Sake yeast Kyokai No.7 genome and being compared with a genome sequence of laboratory yeast S288C made public on the Internet, and further a primer oligonucleotide which specifically detects a gene locus exhibiting the polymorphism is designed.
