PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To store more information relating to the structure of a space by presenting a smell to a user who uses a virtual reality(VR) space. SOLUTION: This smell presentation system is configured of: a three-dimensional geographical space database where a road and a building or the like are stored as structures; a smell information database preliminarily assigned to the structure; a means for selecting the structure from the three-dimensional geographical space database, and for generating and displaying a three-dimensional image when the structure is viewed from the point of view; a means for calculating a distance between the point of view and the structure or a distance between a three-dimensional cursor interlocked with the movement of a tactile sense presentation means and the structure; and a smell presentation device for selecting and discharging a proper smell from the smell information database when predetermined conditions are satisfied by the distance. The type of a smell is changed according to the attributes of the structure, and the intensity of the smell is changed according to the distance.
