Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for preserving an insect pest control agent in which an ester compound expressed by formula (1) [wherein R1, R2and R3are not specifically defined] is held in a thermoplastic resin to be able to express stable pest control effects even after a long term of preservation. SOLUTION: The method for preserving the insect pest control agent has a process for preparing a coated body of the insect pest control agent by coating the pest control agent in which the ester compound expressed by formula (1) is held in a lamination film comprising one of surface layers to be an undrawn ethylene-vinyl alcohol copolymer layer and either one layer selected from a drawn polyalkylene terephthalate layer, a drawn polyamide layer and an aluminum layer.
