PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a fuel cell module capable of increasing temperatures of the fuel cell module at starting and by which the fuel cell system can be simplified and manufacturing cost can be reduced, and a control method of the fuel cell module. SOLUTION: The fuel cell system comprises a fuel battery cell 7 which is supplied with oxidizer gas and fuel gas and generates power, a combustion part 15 which burns the fuel gas and/or an exhaust fuel gas exhausted from the fuel battery cell 7, and an external oxidizer gas preheater 17 which preheats the oxidizer gas supplied to the fuel battery cell 7 by using the combustion gas exhausted from the combustion part 15.
