Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a tape printing device which can manufacture a label capable of protecting printed characters such as date, time, etc. against oils/fats of foods depositing on an installed bar member, without attaching a protecting sheet piece to the label. SOLUTION: Print data such as date and time are juxtaposed in two stages by printing on a web roll of sheet 3A, and when a printing pattern flag is [1], the first stage is printed in the width direction near the edge part, in the width direction, of the guide member 20 side (ST23). On the other hand, when the printing pattern flag is [2], the first stage is printed in the conveyance direction near the edge part, in the width direction, of the guide member 20 side (ST28). When the printing pattern flag is [3], the first stage is printed in the width direction after rotating the first stage 180° in the left direction near the edge part, in the width direction, of the guide member 20 side (ST29), and the second stage is printed near the edge part of the through hole 3C side in the printing region.
