Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for growing a Shiitake (Lentinus edodes) mushroom bed, capable of solving such problems that a considerable long time is required as a period of culture and therefore turnover efficiency of a cultivation installation is deteriorated, because the culture in conventional cultivation of the Shiitake mushroom bed is conducted until primodia from which mushrooms are germinated and grown on a surface of the mushroom bed are formed. SOLUTION: In this method, two kinds of mushroom beds comprising a mushroom bed of a transplanting side and a mushroom bed of a transplanted side are prepared, then cultivation of the mushroom bed of the transplanting side is precedently started, and the mushroom bed is brought into a state of any one of stages from a stage of forming origins of the primodia to a stage of forming young hymenocarps. On the other hand, cultivation of the mushroom bed of the transplanted side is started later than that of the mushroom bed of the transplanting side. When the mushroom bed of the transplanted side reaches near a finish of a stage of primary spread of hyphae, a tissue of the mushroom bed of the transplanting side in a stage of any one of the precedent stages is taken out, then the tissue is planted in the mushroom bed of the transplanted side, and further hyphae on the transplanting side and hyphae on the transplanted side are together fused and brought into a state in which the fused hyphae are supplied with water and nutriment, so that the mushrooms are matured from the taken-out tissue of the mushroom bed.
