Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a device capable of estimating and measuring variation in frictional characteristic in an actual use state of a viscoelastic body such as rubber. SOLUTION: This frictional characteristic measuring device 100 radiates sound wave for vibrating a measured object as incident sound wave from a sensor section 2, and receives reflected sound wave generated by reflecting the sound wave with the measured object in the sensor section 2. An arithmetic processing section 1 derives loss tangent in the viscoelastic characteristic of the measured object based on the reflected sound wave received by the sensor section 2. Further, the arithmetic processing section 1 calculates the frictional characteristic from the derived loss tangent with a predetermined conversion constant. The arithmetic processing section 1 also radiates the incident sound wave in a state where no measured object exists previously, and stores the reflected sound wave as a reference value.
