Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a smooth and dense conductive polymer membrane having excellent electrical characteristics and mechanical strength. SOLUTION: The method for producing the conductive polymer membrane comprises carrying out electrolytic polymerization of a monomer selected from a π-conjugated heterocyclic compound, a conjugated aromatic compound and a heteroatom-containing conjugated aromatic compound in the presence of a supporting electrolyte in an electrolytic medium containing a fluorocarbon in a subcritical state as a reaction medium and forming the conductive polymer membrane on a working electrode. Furthermore, the method for producing a conductive polymer film composed of the conductive polymer membrane comprises peeling the polymer membrane on the electrode and a method for producing the conductive polymer coated membrane is provided. A 1-3C hydrofluorocarbon is preferable as the fluorocarbon and 1,1-difluoroethane is more preferable. Pyrrole, thiophene or a derivative thereof is preferable as the monomer.
