Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a gas sensor capable of positively discharging internal water. SOLUTION: The gas sensor is equipped with a gas detecting element 60 for detecting hydrogen contained in an off-gas and a first element housing part 40 having a first housing chamber 40a (gas detecting chamber) housing the gas detecting element 61 and taking in the off-gas. This gas sensor is the hydrogen sensor 1 provided to the attaching seat 6d of the outlet side piping 6 which constitutes an off-gas flow channel 6a through which the off-gas flows and equipped with hygroscopic members 91 and 92 arranged in the first housing chamber 40a at one end parts 91a and 92a, arranged in the off-gas flow channel 6a being the outside of the first housing chamber 40a at the other end parts 91b and 92b thereof and constituted so as to absorb the water in the first housing chamber 40a to discharge the same to the outside of the first housing chamber 40a.
