PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheelchair allowing a user to know that the end of the life of a wearing member is near even if visual inspection of the surface of the wearing member is not easy, and a braking device for braking wheels of a movable body. SOLUTION: The wheelchair comprises a body with a seat part, a plurality of wheels rotatably supported to the body, and the braking devices 34 disposed corresponding to the wheels for braking the rotation of the wheels. The braking device 34 comprises a presser member 36, a lever 50, the wearing member 40 and a low-wearing member. The presser member 36 has an opposite surface 38 facing the recessed surface of the wheel, and the distance between the recessed surface and the opposite surface 38 is variable by the lever 50. The wearing member 40 is disposed in such a way that the surface projects from the opposite surface 38, and wears as slides on the recessed surface 28 while the wheels are rotating. The low-wearing member is disposed between the opposite surface 38 and the surface 401 of the wearing member 40, and the speed of wearing of the low-wearing member is lower than the wearing member 40.
