Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To remove a lower body of a snap tap without suspending water supply. SOLUTION: A cut-off member 30 with an on-off valve 36 is mounted around the lower body 10b of the snap tap 10 mounted to a bored part 2 of a water pipe 1. Spindle supports 40, 50 are mountable to the other end 32 of the cut-off member 30, and spindles 41, 51 supported to the spindle supports 40, 50 can be operated to advance/retreat from the outside in the mounted state. The on-off valve 36 is opened to advance the spindle 41, and after engaging its tip 41a with the lower body 10b, the spindle 41 is retreated to remove the lower body 10b from the bored part 2. The on-off valve 36 is closed to remove a member above the spindle support 40. A cut-off plug 52 is then mounted to a tip 51a of a spindle 51, and the on-off valve 36 is opened to advance the spindle 51. After fixing the cut-off plug 52 to the bored part 2, all members above the cut-off member 30 are removed. In this manner, the lower body 10b can be removed without suspending water supply of the water pipe 1. COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT
