Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide amber glass which has a content-protecting performance similar to that of conventional amber glass and enables easy checking of the remaining quantity of the content, and a glass vessel using the same. SOLUTION: The amber glass contains an ultraviolet-absorbing component and has a luminance (Y) in the CIE color system calculated in terms of 4 mm of 30-80%. The amber color is paler than the conventional color, but by compounding the ultraviolet-absorbing component, the content-protecting performance similar to that of the conventional amber color can be achieved.
