Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an aliphatic primary amine alkylene oxide adduct exhibiting a good emulsifying performance e.g. by using it as an emulsifying agent, having a short reaction time and a good color tone, and the emulsifying agent containing the aliphatic primary amine alkylene oxide adduct obtained from the same. SOLUTION: This method for producing the aliphatic primary amine alkylene oxide adduct is characterized by comprising a non-catalytic addition process of adding 0.5-1.8 mol alkylene oxide to 1 mol aliphatic primary amine, and an addition process under an alkali catalyst of adding residual alkylene oxide to the aliphatic primary amine in the presence of the alkali catalyst.
