PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power unit for a vehicle in which an internal combustion engine, a transmission device, and a suspension part are coupled together by the same coupling member. SOLUTION: The power unit for vehicle is equipped with an engine case 21 to emit a rotational driving force from a crank shaft 26 installed parallel with a rear wheel shaft 33 whereto rear wheels 4L and 4R are connected and a transmission case 22 accommodating the transmission device 37 to transmit the rotational driving force of the crank shaft 26 to the rear wheel shaft 33 through a counter-shaft 34 installed parallel with the rear wheel shaft 33, and power unit 6 mounted on a body frame 2 by a hanger member 12 is configured so that the engine case 21 and the transmission case 22 are installed detachably, the hanger member 12 is installed in the second 68 and the third mounting part 69 of the engine case 21 and the transmission case 22, and that the engine case 21, the transmission case 22, and the hanger member 12 are coupled together by the same coupling member 73 (bolt 73a and nut 73b).
