Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power converter which can reduce the installation area of itself while suppressing the increase of the wiring inductance between each module and a smoothing capacitor. SOLUTION: A converter module and an inverter module are installed on a module installation face parallel with the vertical direction in a cooling fin, and the converter module and the inverter module are arranged adjacently to each other, so that DC terminals provided at the margin of the topside of each module may face each other. Furthermore, a smoothing capacitor is arranged outside the space between the flank in contact with the margin of the converter module and the flank in contact with the margin of the inverter module facing each other.
