Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a human glucagon-like peptide-1(GLP-1) derivative with a protracted profile of action. SOLUTION: The GLP-1 derivative is such that a lipophilic substituent such as an alkyl or ω-carboxylic acid group is added to the N-terminated or C-terminated amino acid residue. An analogue of this derivative wherein part of the amino acid sequence in this derivative is transformed is also provided. In this derivative, a 2nd lipophilic substituent may be bound to an amino acid residue other than the terminal. The derivative and the analogue each have a more protracted profile of action than the parent GLP-1(7-37). COPYRIGHT: (C)2007,JPO&INPIT |
