PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a structure capable of efficiently executing generation and update processing of a user-specific related-word dictionary. SOLUTION: A keyword extracted as an important word from a user's question in a question answering system and answer candidates extracted from the result of retrieval processing based on the keyword and adequacy information of the answer candidates are inputted to a related-word dictionary correction means, and related-word dictionary correction processing is executed based on the input information. For example, processing for raising the relevancy between words corresponding to the key word and an adequate answer and reducing the relevancy between words corresponding to the key word and an inadequate answer or the like is executed based on the adequacy information of the answer candidates. The user-specific related-word dictionary specialized for the user's interest or area of concern using the question answering system is generated or updated by such related-word dictionary correction processing.
