Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a core formed by swaging laminated magnetic steel sheets with a rivet that is free from short-circuiting of magnetic steel sheets and deterioration in magnetic properties, and is high in riveting strength and excellent in lamination accuracy, and a method and an apparatus for manufacturing the core. SOLUTION: The riveted laminated core is formed by laminating magnetic steel sheets. The magnetic steel sheets are favorably riveted by an insulator coated rivet (e.g., a metal rivet coated with insulating resin and an aluminum rivet coated with an aluminum oxide) on the core back side or the tooth side.
