GAPPED TRANSFORMER

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a gapped transformer which can be shared with 50 Hz and 60 Hz without requiring output adjustment. SOLUTION: A resistor 2 is connected to an output of a gapped transformer body having excitation impedance 1 caused by a gap in parallel, the resistance value of the resi...

Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a gapped transformer which can be shared with 50 Hz and 60 Hz without requiring output adjustment. SOLUTION: A resistor 2 is connected to an output of a gapped transformer body having excitation impedance 1 caused by a gap in parallel, the resistance value of the resistor 2 is selected so that a 50 Hz output is equivalent to a 60 Hz output and the resistance value of the resistor 2 is selected so that the frequency dependency of an output is eliminated in an applied frequency area in each of 50 Hz rated frequency and 60 Hz rated frequency.
